Félix Carme

French, active 1895 -1937

Felix Carme specialized in painting still lives and interiors. He worked primarily in Bordeaux, his native city, and exhibited at the Salon de la Nationale from 1895 to 1937.

This lushly painted and voluptuous floral still life is a wonderful example of the artist’s ability to capture the sensuality and beauty of the flower.
The Musée des Beaux arts of Bordeaux conserves a floral still life by the artist in their permanent collection.
