Césaire Cousturier was born in the region of France called the Jura. He was a pupil of F.Besson and specialized in painting landscapes and flowers. He exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1868 onwards. He also exhibited at the Bourg Salon in 1878 with Fleurs d’automne.
