This landscape is a charming French riverbank scene featuring a little boat similar to Charles Francois Daubigny's "le botin" from which he painted while floating down river searching for an inspiring view. Fournier's works are conserved in numerous French museums including Aix, Morlaix, Paris (Comedie Francais), Periguex, and Sens, among others.
