It seems highly appropriate that a New York gallery with roots in Paris that migrated to Texas should have an exhibition of works from Texas, America and Europe. Juxtaposing these works creating a visual thread to illustrate the similarities of artists as diverse as the important Texas Modernist Robert Preusser and the Belgian CoBrA artist George Collignon, has been an exciting and challenging process. We are grateful to art historian Judy Deaton for shedding some academic light on this idea and generously writing an essay for us.
